Crack Jumper™ Shovel Assembly
Assemble your shovel in just 2 steps. Keep this page for future reference.
Before you begin
Included components: Hand Grip • Adjustable-Length Handle • Crack Jumper Blade • Four (4) Assembly Screws
Tool needed: Phillips-head screwdriver. Optional adjustments require a drill with a 1/16-inch bit.
STEP 1
Attach the handle to the blade
- Locate the blade end of the handle—the end with multiple pre-drilled holes.
- Insert that end into the socket on the back of the blade. Select your preferred height using the imprinted height marks on the blade. When aligned, you can see the handle holes through the blade holes.
- Insert two (2) screws through the aligned holes and tighten securely with a Phillips-head screwdriver. Do not overtighten.
Optional: Custom handle lengths can be obtained by drilling pilot holes with a 1/16-inch drill bit.
STEP 2
Attach the handgrip to the handle
- Fully insert the handgrip into the top end of the handle, aligning the assembly holes in both parts.
- Secure the handgrip with the remaining two (2) screws using a Phillips-head screwdriver. Tighten securely, but do not overtighten.
Optional: Two handgrip positions
Rotate the handle 180° to provide an alternate orientation for pushing or scooping. To change the position, drill pilot holes with a 1/16-inch drill bit before reattaching the grip. The scooping configuration also provides additional height and may be more comfortable for users over 6'3".
Maintenance & safety
Check all fasteners frequently for tightness. Do not use the shovel if any component is damaged or loose.
Recommended Use
Push snow, mulch, and similar material rather than lifting whenever possible. The Crack Jumper blade is designed to ride over uneven walks and drives. The Easy-Back Handgrip's force-forward configuration is intended to help maintain an upright, neutral spine and accommodate both hands for control.
